News! Global Child TV is Promoting Montenegro Worldwide

Press Releases

Three years ago, approximately at this very period of the year, MyGuideMontenegro team had a chance to host an enthusiastic producer from the USA who had, back then, started filming his 2nd season of destination-promo videos under the Global Child TV name. We’ve got in touch through our colleague from MyGuideGreekIslands and soon after it, we agreed on how to film and what to promote in Montenegro, but also when to start.

A lot of MyGuideMontenegro partners were happy to participate in the making of this episode about our country and thus we succeeded in delivering a 4-days itinerary all around Montenegro and film all the most beautiful locations. Take a look on how it went and what you can expect in the episode.

Day 1

The first day started in Herceg Novi and then all around the Bay of Kotor – Savina, Verige gorge, Kotor Old Town, Tivat and Porto Montenegro. We had an amazing breakfast at the Verige65 Restaurant & Bar and enjoyed the views, while the Travel Board of Kotor provided us with a free entrance to the city fortress. After the climb to the fortress, we craved for some fresh food, provided by Pizzeria Sara, located in the most beautiful square of the Old Town of Kotor, St Tryphon's Square or the Cathedral Square. The night stay was organised in Hotel Palma, which sponsored Augusto’s accommodation for that evening.

Day 2

The next day, we visited the Old Town of Budva and enjoyed delicious breakfast at the Astoria Budva beach bar, located just in front of the city walls. From there, after visiting the Citadel, we moved towards Sveti Stefan – town hotel, owned by Aman Resorts, where we did some great shots and videos. The next stop was the Old Town of Bar, where we had a great time with the local guide and from there we had a delicious late lunch at the Kalamper Hotel & Spa. This day finished perfectly – with a boat ride on Skadar Lake and dear friends from Zabes Holidays. The night stay was provided by Hilton Hotel Podgorica.

Day 3

In the morning, from Podgorica we moved north and first visited the Ostrog Monastery, the most important orthodox monument in Montenegro and the most popular one, visited by millions every year. We passed by Niksic and continued toward Pluzine, the beautiful city on the Piva Lake, where we had breakfast with a view in the Guesthouse Zvono. We enjoyed the companionship of Vlatko Vukovic, the owner, who taught us where we can find stećak-tombstones, dating back from the old era. We saw these on our road to Zabljak, driving over Trsa, and this ride through the national park Durmitor was breathtaking. In Zabljak, we had a cable car ride to Savin Kuk peak and then enjoyed lunch with Ms Vanja, the director of the Travel Board of Zabljak who provided us with this ride and the delicious meal. After Zabljak adventure, we left towards Savnik and enjoyed the night stay in the Eco Village Nevidio, the first eco-village in the north of Montenegro, with an Eco-Label certificate. There, we were welcomed by a recently passed world-known alpinist, who was the owner of this eco-village, Gaso Lalovic.

Day 4

The previous day was a pretty long one, but we had a nice rest at the eco-village, plus the breakfast was purely homemade and organic and this refuelled our energy levels. From here, we left toward the Tara Canyon to take the zip-line over it. It’s the 2nd deepest canyon in the world, for the records. From there, we drove through Dobrilovina and by the canyon, to see amazing nature and the Black Pine Forest, protected by the law, as this tree is a unique specie. Our next stop was for lunch, at the by-the-road-restaurant Most, which serves the best trout ever! With our bellies full, we continued toward the national park Biogradska Gora and enjoyed walking thought one of the last preserved rain forests in Europe and we also had some goofy time by the lake.

Our companion during the filming was a fitness influencer Sladjana, who lives in Munich, but originates from Balkans. She was keen on showing Augusto the beauty of our country and all of us have become friends. Let’s hope for life!
