The relief of Montenegro is mostly mountainous with bays, valleys, river canyons, and plains. Most of the karst relief of Montenegro is located at 1000 meters above sea level, but some parts rise to 2000 meters and more. The lowest segment of the relief is the valley of the river Zeta, with an altitude of 500 meters.
Zeta and Bjelopavlici plain are the two biggest plains in Montenegro and places with the highest population density in Montenegro.
