The Bjelopavlici plain is a fertile lowland of 160 km2, which is covered with deposits of material that has settled in the former lake. The Zeta River flows through this fertile lowland, which is rich in fish of various species and resorts, which provides an opportunity for intensive development of both agriculture and tourism. The lower part of the River Zeta is the plain itself, which accounts for 25% of the total territory of the municipality of Danilovgrad.
In the Bjelopavlići plain, the influence of the Mediterranean climate is dominant, slightly modified, which means that the area is characterised by long, hot and dry summers, while winters are relatively mild and rainy.
