Places of interest
The Zeta Plain is the largest in Montenegro with 240 km2. It is located north of Skadar Lake. The south part of the plain, known as Donja Zeta, is an extremely fertile part of the plain with accumulated particles that make up a thick layer of arable land, suitable for vegetable crops, such as peppers and tomatoes, as well as viticulture and fruit growing.
What is interesting is that the river Zeta does not flow through the same-named plain, but on the contrary, it flows through the Bjelopavlici plain.
In the central part of the Zeta plain, in the triangle between Cijevna, Ribnica, and Morača, lies the vast Cemovsko field, built of layers of gravel and sand. With special agricultural techniques, hundreds of hectares of Cemovsko polje were turned into vineyards with top-quality yields and later production of quality wines and alcoholic beverages. Cemovsko polje is where the vineyards 'Plantaze' are located, where the most famous Montenegrin wine Vranac is produced.
