Hosting the annual Charity Fundraising Ball each December, the Regent has fostered a tradition of generosity, gathering significant donations that address essential needs within the Boka Bay region. With a spotlight on social responsibility, the hotel’s past four editions have seen the community come together to support healthcare, welfare, environmental protection, and women’s health.

2018 – The First Regent Charity Ball: Supporting Kotor’s General Hospital

On December 14, 2018, the Regent launched its first fundraising ball, setting an extraordinary precedent. The event supported the General Hospital of Kotor, raising an impressive €15,665 for critical medical equipment. The funds were earmarked for two new defibrillators, a vital addition to the hospital’s resources.

The ball began with a grand entrance, where guests arrived on a red carpet through a festively adorned lobby. Hollywood-glamorous, the invitees were welcomed into the Teodo Ballroom to enjoy a remarkable evening.

The program began with captivating performances by professional dancers, followed by a lavish three-course dinner curated by the Regent’s talented chef. With each dish – from shrimp tartar to a delightful sea bass entrée, and a coffee-infused dessert – the meal was an artful experience, expertly paired with Montenegrin wines.

In addition to enjoying the dinner and program, guests participated in a charity lottery and celebrated Regent’s “Best of the Best” awards, honouring partners for their support throughout the year.
This first event was an expression of gratitude towards the community, bringing together local business partners, dignitaries, and philanthropic guests. The success of this first event set the foundation for a tradition of meaningful contribution and celebration.

2019 – The Second Regent Charity Ball: Equipping Tivat’s Day Care Centre for Children with Special Needs

The second annual ball, held on December 13, 2019, raised an impressive €20,520 for the Day Care Centre for Children with Special Needs in Tivat. The funds enabled the purchase of advanced equipment for sensor and physical therapy rooms, empowering the centre to offer high-quality care to children in need.

Guests were treated to a gourmet three-course meal and a vibrant musical program featuring Guitar Duo Nikcevic-Bulatovic, the band “The Grupa,” and dancers from the Croatian show “Ples sa Zvijezdama.” Each course, from a tuna tartar starter to a pistachio-strawberry dessert, was a feast for the senses, harmonised with Milovic Wines.

In keeping with tradition, attendees engaged in a charity tombola featuring luxurious prizes, including hotel stays across the Balkans. With notable sponsorship from Petit Geneve Petrović and support from partners like Universal Capital Bank and Adriatic Marinas, the event not only raised funds but strengthened the Regent’s commitment to community betterment.

2022 – The Third Charity Ball: A “Green” Initiative for the Tivat Protection and Rescue Service

Following a two-year break due to the pandemic, the Regent’s third ball, held on December 16, 2022, took on an ecological theme, gathering €27,000 for the Tivat Protection and Rescue Service. The funds enabled the purchase of an industrial drone equipped with thermal imaging and mountaineering gear, enhancing the service capabilities for firefighting and search and rescue operations.

In a moving presentation of the check to the Tivat Service Commander, Kai Dieckmann emphasized the importance of equipping rescue teams to protect Boka Bay's cherished landscapes. Sponsors and attendees alike embraced the theme, with symbolic gifts of oak and magnolia seeds to encourage reforestation and environmental consciousness.

Petit Geneve Petrović once again led in generosity as the platinum sponsor, with strong support from additional contributors including FreeJack, Zožeta doo, and National Radio & Television Service of Montenegro. The evening’s proceeds and theme underscored Regent’s commitment to environmental preservation and proactive community support.

2023 – The Fourth Charity Ball: Raising Awareness for Women’s Health and Breast Cancer Prevention

The fourth Fundraising Ball, held in 2023 under the theme “For Her,” focused on women’s health, specifically breast cancer prevention. Regent’s dedication to this crucial cause raised €67,700, which will fund a state-of-the-art digital mammogram for the Tivat Health Center. By raising awareness and improving diagnostic capabilities, the ball aimed to increase early detection and improve outcomes for women across the region.

With sponsorships, ticket sales, and generous donations, Regent surpassed its fundraising goals, uniting businesses, citizens, and the international community for a noble purpose. In collaboration with One Crna Gora, a telecommunication operator, the event’s SMS donation system provided an accessible way for community members to contribute, making it one of the most successful events to date and showing the community’s dedication to this vital initiative.
