Culture Centre Tivat
Centre for Culture Development in Tivat was established in 1970 and at that moment it united City Library, Cinema 'Radnik' and Local Amateur Theatre. Today, Culture Centre Tivat has widened up its range, so it's consisted out of Public Library and Reading Room, Gallery and Museum Collection, Production of theatre shows and documentaries, Festival of Mediterranean Theatre 'Purgatorije', regular repertoires including music concerts, books promotion, organisation of the visiting troupes' program, promotion in general etc.If you are visiting Tivat during the summer, make sure to watch one of the local theatre shows!
This state today is the third and actual phase in the Culture Centre Development, which started in the mid-90s of the 20th century. In this phase, a lot of work is done:
- renewal of the Radnicki dom and Grand Hall
- renovation of the Summer Stage
- 16 shows - 13 new ones and 3 old adapted shows.
Smart management followed with a notable program, gave renewed centre the chance to have numerous performances all around the region, participating in various regional festivals and getting awards. This helped in the branding of the Culture Centre Tivat production, which is best reflected on the 'Purgatorije' - Mediterranean Theatre Festival.
This Centre has produced 4 documentaries and it's worth mentioning that they have all the necessary technical equipment to become even more significant in the business they do. Culture Centre Tivat contains:

- Museum
- Summer Stage
- Summer Stage 'Donja Lastva'.
