Description
Your journey begins with pickup from your accommodation, heading into Montenegro’s northern highlands via the sea-view highway. The first stop is Slansko Lake, a reservoir created for the Perućica power plant, offering views of a karst shoreline and islets framed by mountains. Note this stop is exclusive to departures from Kotor.
Travel deeper into the mountains, passing traditional villages and alpine meadows within Durmitor National Park. Visit Vražje Jezero (Devil’s Eye) where the water shifts from pale green to deep sapphire. Then continue to Black Lake (Crno Jezero), a glacial lake surrounded by pine forests and peaks, with a 3.5 km circular forest trail.
The tour concludes at Đurđevića Tara Bridge, spanning Europe’s deepest canyon with five arches suspended 170 meters above the valley. Experience the view of the turquoise Tara River below before returning by shared vehicle to your accommodation.
