The Culture Centre Nikšić is a complex public institution consisting of several organizational units: The Historical Museum; The Galleries “Nikola I” and “Ilija Šobajić”; The Cinema, and the City Library “Njegoš”. The museum, galleries and the library are located in the Castle of King Nikola.

The museum consists of different archaeological, ethnographic and historical materials and collections of great importance, in particular, the archaeological material from the Red Rock. It is opened from Tuesday to Sunday.
The galleries have extremely valuable collections of art exhibits, representing work of some of the most important contemporary artists, like Ilija Šobajić, Petar Lubarda, Milo, Milunović etc. Apart from organizing exhibitions in the galleries, they also include other manifestations such as concerts, library evenings, promotions, etc.
Within the National Library Njegoš, there are two departments, Department for Adults and Children’s Department, which include a large number of encyclopedias, lexicons, dictionaries.

The Cultural Centre also manages the cinema activities currently taking place on Scene 213. The multimedia space of Scene 213, helps the Centre to cooperate with other institutions and individuals, realizing a variety of cultural and artistic programs.
