ĆATOVIĆI MLINI offers a safe haven from the rush of life, and time goes by just the way it suits you.

The Catovica Mlini restaurant can be found in the small village of Morinj, halfway between the better-known cities of Herceg Novi and Kotor. Catovica Mlini means 'the Catovic's Mills', where the Catovic family has used their mills for over two hundred years to make flour.
In the last 25 years, the owner Lazar and his family have worked lovingly to turned the business into one of Montenegro's top 10 restaurants. The ambient is perfect, the food is glorious, providing a varied and extensive Mediterranean menu and the setting is magical.

The old mills are still there, including the water stream that made them turn. Today, the romantic mills make a beautiful setting to this konoba (tavern). 

This restaurant is popular for its seafood dishes, although there are other options available as well. The excellent menu offers seafood salads, prawns, homemade cheese and prosciutto are all worth tasting, as typical for the local region. A wide variety of wine is also on offer and includes homemade and particularly good international wines.
 

During the summer it is very pleasant to sit in the outside dining area and soak up the sights and sounds that make this restaurant unique. Enjoy the surrounding greenery, as the breeze gives the stifling heat a necessary freshness. You can still sit outside in the winter if you would prefer, although the temperatures are significantly lower; the staff will kindly provide you with blankets to ensure you are cosy during your al fresco dining. Inside, the impressive traditional décor is well worth a visit.

Although this restaurant requires access by car or boat, it is well worth the effort. It is so romantic and makes for a lovely pre-dinner walk before if you arrive just before it gets dark.
