Dobrota
Dobrota is the most populous settlement in the Bay of Kotor (approximately 8,000). It was first mentioned in 1260 under the name Dabrathum. It stretches for several kilometres along the coast, from Kotor to the settlement of Ljuta and is rightly considered one of the most beautiful settlements in the Bay of Kotor. On the territory of Dobrota, there are magnificent palaces, built in different styles and different epochs. The most famous palaces are the Tripković, Dabinović, Ivanović, Radoničić and Milošević families.
Next to the palace in Dobrota, there are several old churches. The most significant is the church of St. Eustace, built back in 1773 in the Baroque style, and also the church of St. Ilija from the 12th century. Dobrota is known for its exceptionally clean water, peaceful and quiet beaches where the main beach is about 7 km long spreading along the entire village coast, consisting of concrete and pebble surfaces. The excellent cuisine of this settlement, which is located on the coast, also stands out, and you will often have the opportunity to try fresh local products.
