Description
Departing from Virpazar, the cruise follows the narrow channels of the River Crmnica into the open lake waters during sunrise or sunset. The light at these times paints the lake in golden and orange shades, creating a serene atmosphere.
The journey passes under the iconic Belgrade-Bar railway bridge and by Lesendro fortress, restored in the 18th century by Petar II Petrović Njegoš. The route continues along the Morača River, circling the largest island on the lake, Vranjina.
Travelers will enjoy extensive views of bird habitats and navigate through narrow canals bordered by reeds leading to fields of water lilies and lotus flowers during warmer months. The cruise circles three island groups: Mala Čakovica, Velika Čakovica, and Kamenik. On the return leg, there is an opportunity for a swim, weather permitting.
