Description
This private tour starts with a scheduled departure and a drive to Cetinje, Montenegro’s Old Royal Capital. Travel time is 1 to 2 hours depending on your departure location.
At Cetinje, enjoy approximately 1 hour of sightseeing, visiting landmarks such as Cetinje Monastery, Ćipuri Church, the former residence of Njegoš (Biljarda), King Nikola’s Museum, and the Presidential Palace.
Next, drive to Njeguši village, the birthplace of Petar II Petrović Njegoš. Spend around 1 hour and 15 minutes tasting traditional products including prosciutto, homemade cheese, honey, and wine in the oldest tavern of its kind in Montenegro.
Continue with a 1 hour and 20 minute drive through the Lovćen serpentine road, known for its scenic views and its design story linked to Princess Milena. Stop briefly for photos along the way.
Arrive in Kotor for about 2 hours of sightseeing. Visit the Old Town, Square of Arms, Cathedral of St. Tryphon, Church of St. Luke, Maritime Museum, and Cat Square. Free time is available for dining at local restaurants, shopping, or climbing the city walls to the fortress of San Giovanni (climbing requires 45 minutes to 1 hour).
Afterwards, drive approximately 40 minutes to Budva. Tour Budva’s Old Town, explore its churches, squares, and Citadel, and walk along the marina. Allow about 1 hour for this visit.
The tour ends with a return to the departure point.
