Description
The tour begins with a visit to Skadar Lake National Park, located 25 km from Podgorica. Skadar Lake is protected as a national park and recognized as a Ramsar wetland of international importance. It is home to around 270 bird species, diverse fish, water lilies, traditional villages, and renowned Montenegrin wines. The route includes stops at panoramic viewpoints around the lake.
Next, the tour continues to Saint Stefan island, famous for its luxury hotel resort and rich history. Participants will walk through the nearby Miločer park and have the opportunity to see some of the Budva Riviera’s notable beaches.
The final destination is the old town of Kotor, celebrated for its Venetian architecture and its placement as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Visitors can explore the cultural landmarks and enjoy lunch in one of Kotor’s restaurants.
Itinerary
- 9:00 am - Hotel pickup
- After 30 minutes drive, stop at the former island of Vranjina for lake views and a short walk
- Continue to the small town of Virpazar for panoramic lake views
- Approximately 11:00 am - Arrival at Sveti Stefan; walk through Miločer park and admire the island
- 1:00 pm - Arrival in Kotor; explore the old town and have lunch (optional)
- 5:00-6:00 pm - Return transfer and drop-off at your hotel
