Tour Description
The tour begins in Kotor, heading first to Perast, a town known for its Venetian-style architecture and historic landmarks such as the Church of St. Nicholas and the Perast Museum. Perast has a rich history as a trading center dating back to the Middle Ages.
Next, the boat stops for 15 minutes near Our Lady of the Rocks Island. Visitors can view the 15th century Church of Our Lady of the Rocks and its maritime museum at no admission cost. Photo opportunities are excellent here.
The tour continues to a former Yugoslavian submarine base built during the Yugoslav Wars. The skipper provides historical insight as guests enter the base by boat.
Following this, the boat stops at Mamula Prison, a 19th century military installation turned maximum-security prison during World War II. The now-abandoned site is known for its eerie atmosphere.
The final stop is the Blue Cave, a natural sea cave known for its unique blue light created by sunlight reflecting off the sandy bottom. Visitors have 30 minutes to swim, relax, and explore this natural attraction, accessible only by boat.
