Description
Biograd Lake is the centerpiece of Biogradska Gora National Park, located at 1094 meters altitude within one of Europe’s last three large virgin rainforests. The forest covers 1,600 hectares and contains trees over 400 years old. The lake itself is the largest glacial lake on the Bjelasica mountain.
The trip starts with a drive through the Moraca Gorge, passing Podgorica before reaching Kolasin, a quiet northern town. From Kolasin, you continue to Biograd Lake. Optional activities include a one-hour hike around the lake and renting non-motorized boats or kayaks.
On the return, there is an optional visit to Podgorica for dining, with a local restaurant chosen to suit your preferences.
