Description
Experience Skadar Lake National Park aboard a handcrafted wooden boat starting from Virpazar. The journey begins through the narrow channels of the River Crmnica, leading into the open lake waters.
Pass under the iconic railway bridge of the Belgrade-Bar line and view Lesendro fortress, restored in the 18th century by Petar II Petrović Njegoš. Cruise along the Morača River, passing Vranjina, the lake's largest island.
Enjoy natural bird habitats with sightings of various species. Navigate reed-lined canals leading to water lilies and lotus flowers during warmer months. The route circles three island groups: Mala Čakovica, Velika Čakovica, and Kamenik.
On the return, there is a stop in a quiet lake area for a swimming break to refresh in nature. This cruise offers a balance of relaxation, scenic views, and local tradition.
