Description
Join us for a relaxing boat tour of Lake Skadar, where we combine nature and history in a unique way!
We’ll start with a refreshing cold drink from our captain while cruising through narrow canals and fields of water lilies. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings while listening to some extraordinary bird noises. You may spot water lilies and rare birds such as Dalmatian Pelican. We’ll then head toward Grmožur Island, known as 'Montenegro's Alcatraz.' Once a prison, the island now stands as an important historical site. Our captain will share its fascinating history while you observe birds that have made it their home. Next, we’ll navigate the Morača River, Montenegro’s largest river, home to beautiful kingfishers and various other bird species. As we move deeper into the lake, we’ll slowly enter nature's heart—a network of narrow, untouched canals accessible only by smaller boats. A small photo break is a must! From there, we’ll cruise past tiny, untouched islands called Mala and Velika Čakovica, and Andrijska Gora. These hidden corners of the lake are peaceful, untouched, and filled with wildlife. After exploring the islands, we’ll continue through the open waters of the lake, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife.
At one point, we’ll stop for a refreshing swim in the lake’s calm waters, a perfect chance to cool off and fully experience the beauty of Skadar Lake.
Finally, we’ll wrap up the tour by heading toward the entrance of Rijeka Crnojevića’s canals, a serene way to end your journey.
