Description
Enjoy a relaxing boat tour combining nature and history around Lake Skadar. The tour begins with a refreshing cold drink from the captain while cruising through narrow canals filled with water lilies. Listen to unique bird sounds and spot rare species, including the Dalmatian Pelican.
The tour continues to Grmožur Island, known as 'Montenegro's Alcatraz,' a former prison and significant historical site. Learn about its past and observe the birds inhabiting the island. Next, navigate the Morača River, the largest in Montenegro, home to kingfishers and other bird species.
Venture deeper into the lake’s network of narrow, untouched canals accessible only by smaller boats, featuring a dedicated photo stop. Cruise past the small, remote islands Mala and Velika Čakovica and Andrijska Gora, rich in wildlife and tranquility.
After exploring the islands, travel through the open waters surrounded by natural landscapes and abundant wildlife. There is a chance to swim in the calm lake waters to cool off and fully experience the area.
