Description
Begin the tour with Monte Mare Travel at the canyon entrance, where you will see a small stone bridge built in 1858 by Prince Danilo in honor of his mother, a local native.
Walk along a rocky path to the 'Gate of Wishes,' formed by two connected rocks. Pause to enjoy views of a calm, clear river known for its bright blue and green colors. Local legend says the fairy from Maganik grants wishes if you throw a jack stone into the river.
Nearby, you will hear waterfalls, including the notable 'Bijeli Nerini,' surrounded by dense vegetation. Continue through a narrow rock passage created by the army in 1973, known as 'Mrtvičke Grede.'
The tour ends at Stone Beach, where you rest before returning to your accommodation. This area features springs, waterfalls, and rapids, making it an enriching natural experience.
