Description
The tour begins at Cetinje Monastery, a historic religious and cultural landmark central to Montenegrin literacy and identity. Despite multiple reconstructions after invasions, it remains a symbol of resilience. Inside, you can see revered Christian relics including fragments of the Holy Cross, the hand of Saint John the Baptist, and relics of Saint Peter of Cetinje.
Next is Dajbabe Monastery, located near Podgorica beneath Dajbaba Hill. Built in 1897 after a shepherd's vision, this monastery is uniquely carved into rock, with only the entrance and bell towers above ground. It houses the relics of Saint Simeon of Dajbabe, blending nature and spirituality in its cave-like interior.
The final visit is to Ostrog Monastery, perched 900 meters above sea level on a vertical cliff. This pilgrimage site honors Saint Basil of Ostrog, whose incorrupt relics are believed to have healing powers. Ostrog attracts visitors worldwide seeking reflection regardless of faith.
