Your journey starts in Kotor, where mountains rise above the Bay of Kotor. You will drive the historic royal road from the Kingdom of Montenegro era, a serpentine route with 25 curves carved into the cliffs, offering expanding views of sea and mountains. This road holds a local love legend shaped into the landscape.
Next, ascend to Njegusi, a mountain village known for its traditional smoked ham and local cheese. This village preserves Montenegrin heritage and offers fresh mountain air alongside authentic culinary experiences.
The tour continues to Cetinje, the old royal capital and cultural center. Stroll its quiet streets and learn about the Petrović-Njegoš dynasty at King Nikola’s Palace. You’ll have free time to visit former embassies or relax in local cafes.
Descending toward the coast, stop at a panoramic viewpoint above Budva to photograph the Adriatic. Budva offers golden beaches and a medieval Old Town featuring narrow stone streets, historic churches, and squares.
The day ends back in Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by mountains and the sea. Enter through the Sea Gate and explore the stone alleys, palaces, and Venetian-style squares. The city walls offer a final perspective on Montenegro’s blend of nature and culture.
