Description
Start your day on Skadar Lake before sunrise and experience the lake at its most peaceful. Departing from Virpazar in a small traditional boat, you'll cruise through hidden canals surrounded by reeds and untouched nature as the first light of the day begins to appear.
As the sun rises over the horizon, the lake slowly comes to life. This is one of the best times for birdwatching, with Dalmatian pelicans, herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species becoming active around the lake. The calm morning atmosphere and the sounds of birds create a truly special experience.
Your journey takes you through beautiful fields of water lilies and towards the historic Lesendro Fortress, a centuries-old stronghold standing on the lake's waters. Continuing deeper into the national park, you'll reach the mouth of the Morača River, one of the most important birdwatching areas on Skadar Lake.
The tour also includes a visit to the islands of Čakovica, known for their dense vegetation and rich birdlife. These protected islands are part of one of the lake's most important bird reserves and offer a glimpse into Skadar Lake's unique ecosystem.
As the morning sun bathes the landscape in golden light, you'll make your way back to Virpazar, taking with you unforgettable views, incredible wildlife encounters, and a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty of Skadar Lake.

- Meeting Point: Boat Milica check-in point, next to Restaurant Boat Silistria, Virpazar.
Arrival: Please park your vehicle first, then come to our check-in point at least 15 minutes before departure. We do not have private parking.
Important: If you do not check in at least 15 minutes before the tour starts (after parking), your reservation may be released and you may lose your spot.
Parking: Free public parking is available throughout the village, but it can be busy. We recommend using the main official parking area just outside the village, about a 1-minute walk from our meeting point.
Avoid Unauthorized Operators: At the village entrance, some individuals may aggressively offer parking or tours. Please politely decline and continue straight, then turn right before the bridge to reach our meeting point.
National Park Ticket: The entrance fee is not included in the tour price, which must be purchased before departure.
