Bay of Kotor and Budva Small-Group Day Tour from Dubrovnik

This small-group tour from Dubrovnik suits early birds wanting to explore Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor, Perast, Kotor, and Budva with a max of 17 people.

Tour Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel or an agreed location in Dubrovnik. The journey crosses the Kobila border 45 kilometers south of Dubrovnik, with a passport check required. After crossing, there is a coffee and restroom break.

The first scenic stop is at Verige, offering panoramic views of the Bay of Kotor, including the town of Perast and its two islands. Your guide will explain the strategic historical importance of this location.

Next, the tour continues to Perast where you have 1 hour of free time to explore. You can visit Our Lady of the Rocks, a small man-made island in the bay with notable architecture.

Following Perast, the tour proceeds to Kotor. Located at the foot of Mount St. Ivan, Kotor features a medieval old town and Venetian defensive walls, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. You have 2 hours free to visit landmarks such as St. Tryphon Cathedral and the city walls. For panoramic views, a walk along the city walls is recommended (entrance fee 15€).

From Kotor, the tour continues to the best viewpoint over the bay and then travels 23 kilometers to Budva, where you have 2 hours of free time to explore.

On the return route, the group passes Tivat and crosses by ferry at Lepetane-Kamenari, shortening the return drive by 23 kilometers before heading back to the border and then Dubrovnik.
