Description
Embark on an enchanting full-day trip to the beautiful Lake Skadar in Montenegro, a hidden gem known for its natural beauty and tranquillity. Lake Skadar is one of the 5 national parks in Montenegro and a Ramsar-protected wetland area and is home to various species of birds, including pelicans.
Experience the enchanting attraction of the lake with Ave Tours, the leading tour operator in Montenegro. Explore different areas, each offers a unique and picturesque landscape.
In the Skadar Lake National Park, we visit the Visitor Center, which has the settings of all the National Parks of Montenegro. Guides in the Visitor Center will introduce you to the rich history of this area, and you will also hear interesting information about the national parks.
Then relax into the sparkling waters of Lake Skadar on a two-hour boat cruise. While sailing on the calm surface, allow yourself a moment to enjoy the untouched beauty of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. The boat will also take you to one of the quiet beaches on the lake, with breaks for swimming. You will have the opportunity to swim in the clear water of the lake. Lake Skadar is home to 280 species of birds and 50 species of fish. If you are lucky, you will also be able to see pelicans, the symbols of Lake Skadar.
Travelling towards the Skadar Lake National Park, we pass by Virpazar, a small town where the history of brave Montenegro is written. Virpazar is the center of Crmnica, a rural area in the hinterland of Bar, where small family wineries produce top quality Vranac wine.
The vast greenery and beautiful nature of Lake Skadar make it a unique destination. No matter how many times you visit this national park, there will always be something that pulls you in and makes you want to return.
