Founded by the Illyrians, Shkoder’s rich history spans Byzantine, Venetian, Serbian Nemanjic dynasty, and Ottoman influences. From the Old Town walls, sitting 150 meters above sea level, enjoy panoramic views of Shkoder city, the largest lake in the Balkans (Shkoder Lake), and the three surrounding rivers.
