After the 18th EXIT Festival, visited by 200,000 visitors from over 70 countries in four days, the exciting festival adventure continues at the fifth edition of the Sea Dance Festival, from Thursday, August 30th to Saturday, September 1st, at the most beautiful beach of the Budva Riviera. Here is a handful of reasons why Sea Dance should be on your list of destinations this summer!
New festival location
This year, Sea Dance Festival will be held on Buljarica beach for the first time, located at half an hour drive from Budva’s Old Town and just a few kilometres away from Petrovac, Sutomore and Čanj, as well as Bečići and Šušanj. The sand-and-gravel beach is 2 km long, hugged by a belt of pine and deciduous trees and a three hundred years old olive grove, making Buljarica the perfect green oasis and destination for long summer festival nights, followed by exciting daily parties with your best friends, cocktails and the sound of the waves!

Maslina (Olive) Camp is well known amongst tourists and it will host festival-goers from the whole world at the very end of the tourist season! Tucked away among the 300-year-old olives and various trees providing an awesome atmosphere for relaxation, there is a parking lot, toilets, showers, electricity and Wi-Fi. You will be able to rent small as well as luxurious tents and camping equipment. Located a few hundred meters from the sea and close to the festival location, it is the perfect accommodation for the duration of the festival, and for those who do not fancy sleeping under the open skies, EXIT festival’s official tourist agency, EXIT Trip, will soon have suites on offer.
Music for Everyone – the greatest stars of the world and the region are coming
The turquoise pearl of the Adriatic will host leading world and regional stars. During the three festival days, fans from all over the world will have the opportunity to enjoy the unforgettable performances of world electronic scene leaders, Paul Kalkbrenner and Nina Kraviz. Sea Dance will see one of the most successful DJ duos, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as this year’s EXIT star, Alice Merton. Main stage of the festival will host leading regional bands, Hladno Pivo, Van Gogh, Belgrade soul-man and singer Marko Louis, hip-hop “mutha” of the Balkans, Sajsi MC, and the currently leading hip-hop sound of the region, represented by two ruthless Adriatic rappers, geniuses from Split, Krešo Bengalka and Vojko V, with a special performance by a duo of festival hosts, Who See. That’s not all – expect new performers to be announced soon!
Seaside Techno
There will be no lack of excitement at the infamous No Sleep Stage where the waves of positive rhythm will flush over all the lovers of underground electronic sound. The list of awesome performers will be headed by one of the leading techno stars of the new generation, Dax J, as well as the main representatives of the French techno scene, Antigone, Francois X and Shlømo, Californian magician Eagles & Butterflies, as well as the Russian star, Sofia Rodina! Alongside them, there will be a number of primetime regional and local names. That is not all – lovers of good sound will be able to enjoy themselves at the TDI stage, Latino Stage, Silent Disco and they should expect many other surprises.
