Description

Experience the quaint town of Perast and its astounding island with the most impressive landscapes resulting from a fusion of architecture and nature. Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site on a delightful guided boat trip. Departing from Kotor Old Town, cruise through the water to admire panoramic views of Kotor Bay while passing by some recognizable landmarks, like St Matthew's Church and Our Lady's Temple. Disembark at the mystical Our Lady of the Rocks, an artificial island built in the 15th century by local sailors in honor of Our Lady, asking for a safe return from their trips. Admire the current church, built by the Venetians in 1630, and the numerous works of art by famous local painter Tripo Kokolja. Notice numerous silver and gold plates, received as gifts from seamen for their safe passages, as well as a unique tapestry, hand-made by Jacinta Kunic-Mijovic with strands of her own hair. Float across the water once more to reach Old Town Perast, famous for its Clock Tower built in 1713, which was once the tallest one in Mediterranean. Stroll down the narrow streets and take in beautiful baroque palaces or relax and enjoy the view from one of the local restaurant terraces.
