Description
We will start our journey from Budva, after boarding in premium class vehicles up to 19 places. After 40 minutes we will reach a Kotor, where we will board at the speedboat and go on 3-hours scenic panoramic drive. After boarding we will leave the port and have a majestic view on walls of the Kotor Old town, and fortress San Giovanni. Leaving Kotor behind us, we will cruise next to Dobrota where is, just couple meters from the sea, located church St. Matthew. St. Matthew church got its present shape in 1670., couple years after the great earthquake in 1667. destroyed the medieval smaller church. Church dates back from the early 13th century, as evidenced by as stone inscription in Latin, that is now built into the sacristy. After about 30 minutes sailing, we will reach island Our Lady of Rocks, artificial island made in the 15th century. The island was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept and ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on 22 July 1452. There we will take a 20-minutes break, to explore this magnificent place. We will leave the island and continue to our next destination, Mamula Island. There is a same name fortress, built in the 1853. by Austro-Hungarian general Lazarus von Mamula. During the World War II, the fascist converted the Mamula fort into a concentration camp. Now, Mamula island is a 5* Hotel. Passing next to Mamula, we will continue in the direction of Luštica Peninsula, where you will have a chance to take a swim in azure water of incredible Blue Cave. There we will take a 20-minutes break. After a break, we will start a sailing back to Kotor. On our way back we will explore the submarine base, which was secretly built for Yugoslavian army by president Josip Broz Tito. During the return, we will relax and enjoy in majestic views over Boka bay. After returning to port of Kotor, you will have a 2-hours to explore Kotor on your own. Recommendation - climbing St. Giovanni fortress from where you will have one of the most beautiful views on Boka bay.Includes
