Vrmac Ridge & St. Elias Peak

This Saturday we stay in Montenegro and we will take you to one of the most beautiful and the most pleasant tours – Vrmac ridge! We can expect a beautiful sunny day with no wind with temperatures up to 18 degrees. This is the ideal time to travel around the coast a little and enjoy the charms of early autumn. 

Ridge Vrmac is rich in beautiful hiking trails that rise just above the sea. The guide of the Bay of Kotor, which rises above two gulfs, will always be happy to host hikers. Whichever side you choose to start your hike with, you will enjoy it. From the summit you can see Risan and Kotor Bay and cliffs of Orjen and Lovcen, which dive into the sea almost vertically. 

We will begin the hike from Kotor. We will go through the pine woods to the old gravel road, where we continue to the summit of St. Elias at 766 meters above sea level. It is also the highest peak of mount Vrmac. At the top we will make a longer break for meditation and photos and enjoy a fantastic view of the Boka Bay. After this break, we're going back to Kotor through the same road, where the bus will be waiting for us. 

The total duration of the tour (to the top and back) is around 5 hours. 

Difficulty level: Easy. 

Departure is on Saturday, October 29 at 8 am in the morning in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, and return the same day around 8 pm. 

Price: EUR 10, and includes transportation Niksic – Kotor - Niksic and tour guide services.

Bring: comfortable shoes for hiking, adequate clothing, sunscreen, warm jacket, some food and candy, water (2L).
