Set by the sea and right on the main square in Perast, Hotel Conte is situated in the former Home of Culture and is a protected heritage building. Medun is an object of a big importance for the study of all cultural epochs from prehistory to the Middle Ages, but this site has not been yet sufficiently studied and researched. The old town of Medun or Meteon is a high fortification, located 13 kilometres northeast of Podgorica was one of the main settlements of the Illyrian tribe, dating back to the ancient period. It was built first as a fortress, later as a city, between the 4th and 3rd century BC.
Lesendro is a fortress on the island of Lesendro on Skadar Lake, built during the 19th century by the Montenegrin Bishop Petar II Petrovic Njegos.
Kosmac Fortress is located 800 meters above sea level on the same-named hill above the village of Brajici near Budva. It was built between 1841-1850 by the Austrians, and the location chosen for the construction of this impressive fortress, was important from a strategic point of view because it dominates the Budva Riviera.
One of the most attractive fortresses not only of the Austro-Hungarian Empire but also of the complete architectural heritage in this area is the fortress of Gorazda. This fortress was, with several other fortifications (Vrmac, Trojica, and Grabovac), the main military base of Austria-Hungary in the southern Adriatic.
Another of the fortresses built in the Ottoman period (1450) is the fortress of Bihor. This fortress is located in the same medieval parish of Bihor, near Berane. During the Ottoman period, the fortress was used to control caravans and passengers and was equipped with cannons and grain warehouses.
Grmozur is one of several fortifications in or around Skadar Lake, which originate from the Ottoman period. It is located in the north-western part of Skadar Lake, and colloquially it is called the Montenegrin Alcatraz or the Island of the Snakes. The fortress was built by the Ottomans in 1843.
Besac Fortress is a cultural and historical site of exceptional importance and one of the most attractive lookouts on Skadar Lake. According to historical sources, this is one of the oldest military fortifications preserved on the territory of today's Montenegro.
The Old Town of Bar used to be a residential and commercial hub for the common people. But from the 19th century on, the town has been deserted. After the devastating earthquake in 1979, many of the architectural remains have been largely devastated, and the inhabitants slowly migrated.
A recognisable attraction of the Old Town is the high wall, dating from the Middle Ages when Budva was under Venetian rule. In the earthquake of 1667, Budva was demolished and on the foundation of the old walls, the new ones were built. But they were once again damaged in the 1979 earthquake, after which the whole city was rebuilt.
The valley of the River Zeta and the river itself is an important ecosystem for Montenegro. Of the 352 registered bird species in Montenegro, 20% of the total number are bird species present in this area. As many as 774 species of plants have been registered in the Zeta River Valley, which is again slightly more than 20% of plant species in Montenegro.
Nature Park Dragisnica and Komarnica, is located in the northwest of the Municipality of Savnik, bordering the National Park Durmitor. The total area of the park is 2.994.00 ha. The area of the Dragišnica and Komarnica Nature Park includes three areas that can be viewed as three unique and recognisable units, that are Dragisnica, the Nevidio Canyon and Boljske Grede.
Komovi Nature Park is a regional park that stretches over the territories of 3 municipalities, Podgorica, Kolasin, and Andrijevica. Protection zones of II and III degrees have been determined for Komovi, and the area of the Nature Park is 20.210 hectares, while the length of the border is 90.785 meters. With this area, in addition to national parks, Montenegro has more than 10% of its territory under the protection regime.

The Old Town of Ulcinj is one of the oldest towns in the Adriatic. It was founded in the 5th century BC by the people of Colchis, which is why it was originally named Colchinium. In the 2nd century, it was conquered by the Romans from the Illyrian tribe Olcinijatas and, the then ancient city of Colchinium became Olcinium.
The Old Town of Podgorica or Stara Varoš may not resemble the famous coastal towns such as Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi, but it certainly has historical importance. It was built during the Ottoman rule and is now a neighbourhood near the city centre.
The Old Town is surrounded by the wall which was built from the 14th to 19th century. Inside the town, as the most significant monuments stand out the fortress Forte Mare (14th century), Kanli Kula (15th century), The Clock Tower Tora (19th century). All of them have almost preserved the spirit of the periods they were built in. One of the trademarks of the Old Town is the long stairs, called 'Skaline' by the locals.

The Djalovica Cave, located in the Djalovic Gorge in the canyon of the River Bistrica in north-east Montenegro, is, according to most cavemen, the most promising and beautiful cave in Montenegro. It is located about 40 kilometres from Bijelo Polje and can be approached from several sides.
Osoja Cave, in the village of Dobrakovo near Bijelo Polje, has been known to the inhabitants of this area since ancient times, but its marking has been done in 2006. This action was carried out by members of the speleological club "Akovo". During that research, the cave was found to be 83 meters deep and 314.5 meters long.
The Novakovic cave is by many characteristics classified as one of the most important speleological objects in Montenegro, which due to its natural features has been proclaimed a protected natural area by the Institute for Nature Protection.
From the steep entrance, a plain 40 metres long mostly covered by perpetual snow, reaches the ice-covered cave floor. The Ice Hall is 40 meters long and 20 meters wide, leaving no one indifferent in front of its appearance. Namely, even in the middle of the hottest summer months, ice water is dripping here, from which "blood in the veins" gets frozen.
Studendula Cave is located on the slopes of Mount Garac, near Danilovgrad. The path leading from the village of Gornja Zagreda to the cave is less than an hour's walk. The cave has a large entrance, after which the first four meters are passed by crawling. In one part the cave is crossed with reins as the cave goes down 12 meters vertically.
Patalina Cave is located near Danilovgrad. The cave is about 350 meters long and has a downward spiral direction. The entrance to Patalina is at the same time the steepest part of the cave. It does not have huge halls and is not much spacious, but it is abundant in beautiful jewellery of all shapes and colours.
