This year will be held the 50th anniversary Mimosa Festival in Herceg Novi.
The rich program starts on February 1st and ends on March 23rd.
The first weekend of February brings us an opening of the festival with the local deejays entertainment, performance of the majorettes, City Music of Herceg Novi and finally, the biggest performance for the weekend - concert of the great regional star, Zdravko Colic, on Friday at 9 p.m.
The Saturday program contains traditional harvest on Riviera followed with beer, wine and mimosa fest. Saturday night is traditionally reserved for big Costume ball which will start at 9 p.m. at Institute Igalo.
On Sunday, at 10 a.m., in the hall of Chamber Park is predicted the opening of the exhibition “New Castles of the world day”, after which will follow the entertainment program on the Main city square. Also, on Sunday from 11 a.m. will be held competitive bazaar called 'Smells and tastes of February' in Baosici.
During February and March, the program contains so many interesting events, such as Days of Poland, Days of Italy, Days of Germany, Days of Turkey, Days of Norway, Days of Finland, Days of Slovenia, rich music program, concerts, theatre plays, wine nights, exhibitions, another two costume-balls, etc.
If you like the Mediterranean 'fešte' (festivals), you shouldn't miss this great festival and its great program which lasts almost 2 months and contains something for everybody.
