For the first time, Montenegro was host for an International Kayak Festival held on Tara river.
Precise location was Grab Camp and Anitra Travel Agency, best known by the amazing service they offer and active holidays on Tara River they make.
The festival took 4 days and the participants came from all around Europe: Ireland, Russia, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
1st of the 4 days was reserved for lectures about safety on the river and about kayaking in common. After the lecture, participants enjoyed great atmosphere by the fire and with music and good people.
2nd and 3rd day were reserved for official competition. Rich music program was organised for everyone who came to watch the race and not only participant. Some of the most famous DJs from this region, performed by the Tara river.
4th day was reserved for boating along Tara River (its full lenght), which was at the same time fun and educative.
This year just showed that this festival has a great potential to become a traditional annual event, which can gather world wide people and promote Montenegro in the best possible way, through sport, active tourism and nature!
