If you are…
… concerned about all this dirty plastic that ends up back in our body;
… annoyed by the domination of litter in our environment;
… willing to contribute to the protection of nature…
Join us on Saturday, September 21st in cleaning Montenegrin beaches and river and lake shores!
The occasion is 2019 International Coastal Cleanup Day in Montenegro, organised for the third year in a row by the NGO Zero Waste Montenegro in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, the EU Info Centre and the NGO Naša Akcija.
This year, more than 15 NGOs, international institutions, public companies and citizen groups across Montenegro join forces at the end of the summer tourist season to contribute to solving the problem of accumulated waste on beaches and river and lakeshores, at 13 locations at the same time (the Saline and Port Milena Channels and the Long Beach in Ulcinj; Ratac peninsula in Sutomore, Katič island in Petrovac, Stoliv in Kotor, Pecka beach in Tivat, Tito’s Vila beach in Herceg Novi, the Lim riverbed in Berane, the Tara riverbed in the Durmitor National Park, Sinjavac island in Bijelo Polje, and the lake Krupac shoreline in Nikšić).
In addition, the revision of the collected waste has been introduced, ie its categorisation by types and brands. The obtained data will be used for analysis and further activities in the field of environmental protection.
Welcome!
